The Franklin Parrasch Gallery's conceptual design is structured through a conscious reflection upon aspects of human evolution and the progressive process of creativity. Primarily exhibiting Post-War as well as emerging American art in the context of: 1) region; as it applies to geographical shifts in the distribution of populations, 2) period; as it reflects political, social and cultural conditions of a particular time and place, and 3) medium; as it exemplifies a decisive artistic choice indicative of the process of a certain time and place.
